Appointment and drop-in tutoring for any college course using math/stat/QR, test review sessions, problem sessions, multi-media materials and study skills workshops.  All services provided both onsite and virtually, days, evenings and weekends.  Appointments can be made through Navigate.

Rockowitz
Writing Center

One-on-one peer tutoring for all academic reading, researching, and writing. All stages of the writing process from initial brainstorming to final revisions, and everything in between. In-person and online. Evenings and weekends hours available.

STEM Saturdays

STEM Saturday is a free full-day program designated to support your preparation & success with BIOL 100, CHEM 102, and/or CHEM 104 through peer-led tutoring, activities, practice problems, and general student development.

Summer FRESH START

This is a FREE 10-day program designed to support your success as an incoming freshman in STEM! Many successful students like you underestimate how challenging first-year Chemistry and Math courses can be. This program will help you to know how to approach the material from day 1!

During this immersive program you will:

 

  • Meet Your STEM Professors, Instructors, Advisors, Classmates and Peers

  • Learn how to navigate STEM-specific campus resources

  • Learn how to prepare for your Math and Chemistry courses you will take this fall

  • Learn study strategies that will help you succeed your first year and beyond.

Winter FRESH STEM  Workshops

Winter FRESH STEM workshops during the January inter-session are designed  to prep for students for selected Spring term Math, Chemistry and Biology courses. FRESH Scholars are given priority registration to these events.

BIOL 100 Winter Warm-up: 

This 2-day hybrid workshop (day 1 =virtual, day 2= In-person) will orient you to the BIOL 100 course and teach you essential study skills and exam strategies. Students will also experience a simulation of the course experience including recitation and related support services.

CHEM 106 & BIOL 100 Lab Prep Day:

These hands-on workshops will give you the opportunity to work in the bio and/or chem labs and practice foundational skills that are essential for your lab sections. You will also learn more about requirements and expectations for the lab portions of your course.

CHEM 104 Virtual Lecture Preview: 

This event will help you learn about what is expected in General Chemistry 2 and provide you strategies to be successful.

Math Virtual Assessment:

Taking pre-Calculus or Calculus this spring and want to know if there are any math topics you need to brush up on? This session will allow you to (anonymously) respond to questions and direct you to additional Dolciani Math Center Winter workshops to improve on those skills.
